About AngelFire Ammunition

AngelFire Ammunition is a veteran-owned ammunition manufacturer based in Saint Marys, Kansas. This is how a one-man operation in a shipping container grew into a name that ships nationwide.

It started in a shipping container

AngelFire was founded in 2011 by Scott Long, of Hope, Kansas: one man with a lifetime of shooting behind him, a Dillon press, and a single shipping container to work out of. He loaded every round by hand and let the quality carry the name. Word got around fast, and before long demand outran what one person, a hand press, and a healthy supply of ibuprofen could keep up with.

Going nationwide

In 2014, Patriot Outfitters, a retailer serving the military and law enforcement community, decided to move into ammunition and brought AngelFire's founder in to lead the effort. Within six months the shop was built out, and 9mm and .223 under the AngelFire name were shipping nationwide. In 2017, following a corporate acquisition of Patriot Outfitters, AngelFire spun back off into its own company, and it has been independent ever since.

AngelFire today

Since then, AngelFire has grown well beyond those first two calibers, across a wide range of handgun and rifle loads for the discerning, high-volume shooter, from backyard practice to competition at the highest level. Law enforcement agencies across the country run AngelFire as their training ammunition. Stocked by dealers nationwide since 2018. Whether you train, compete, hunt, or carry, it is built to be accurate, reliable, clean, and affordable enough to shoot often. That is the whole point.

We make our own ammunition

AngelFire is a manufacturer. We load every round ourselves, on our own equipment, to our own tested specifications, and we control the quality of what goes in the box from start to finish. Making it in house also lets us keep it priced so you can afford to shoot often. Buy from us directly or from one of our dealers: either way you get the same ammunition, held to the same standard.

Remanufactured and new-brass ammunition

Our remanufactured line begins with once-fired commercial brass, the same brass a careful handloader would choose. Every case is cleaned, inspected, resized, and reprimed before it is loaded to consistent, tested specifications. We also produce new-brass ammunition for self-defense and specialty loads.
