What is XTP ammunition?

XTP stands for Extreme Terminal Performance, Hornady's jacketed hollow point. It is designed to hold together and open up in a controlled way, and it is one of the most widely used bullet designs in personal-protection ammunition.

Is AngelFire XTP ammo good for self-defense?

Yes. We load it on new brass with the XTP hollow point specifically for personal protection, and we hold it to the same tested standard as everything else we make. Every lot is chronographed, and it is backed by our 5000% guarantee.

Is it new brass or remanufactured?

New brass. Our range and practice ammo is remanufactured on inspected once-fired brass, but our self-defense line is loaded on fresh, new brass.

What calibers does AngelFire load for self-defense?

Three: 9mm (115gr, 124gr, and 147gr), .45 ACP (185gr and 230gr), and .357 Magnum (158gr). All of them use the Hornady XTP jacketed hollow point.

Is self-defense ammo covered by the guarantee?

Yes. Like everything we load, our XTP self-defense ammo is backed by our 5000% Brass-Clad Performance Guarantee.
